WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

WHAT IS PRP?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is your skin's best friend – literally! We draw a small amount of your blood, spin it down to collect the golden plasma, rich in growth factors that kickstart tissue regeneration.
When paired with microneedling, PRP works its magic topically, boosting collagen production and enhancing your skin's texture, tone, and elasticity.
And let's not forget its “hair-raising” benefits... PRP injections on the scalp stimulate hair growth, promoting thicker, healthier locks. It's the ultimate multitasker, tackling fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hair loss with finesse!
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE LIKE?
Patients will come to our clinic and have a numbing cream applied to their face.
While their face is numbing, Dr. Chang will draw a small amount of blood and begin spinning it down to extract the plasma.
Once the face is numb, the cream is removed and we begin the microneedling treatment, adjusting the depth of stimulation to the patient's comfort level.
The Patient's plasma is applied topically to the freshly-microneedled skin, promoting maximum absorption.
A cool, healing cream is applied then post-care instructions are given to maximize results. Our treatments include a post-treatment recovery enhancement skincare from Jan Marini Skin Research.
Patients can expect to be in the clinic for an hour and fifteen minutes (1:15).
Patients will have 24-48 hours of downtime (avoid sun exposure, no makeup, no sunscreen, no lotions) and may experience pink/red skin. On day 2 patients can resume wearing sunblock and can cover the minimally red skin with makeup. By day 3 patients typically have little to no redness, especially when after-care procedures are followed. Mild peeling varies by skin type.
We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for best results (personalized recommendations will be provided based on assessment during consultation)
